Description

TLC offers a variety of electives from which to choose. Electives include classes in areas of Bible studies, biblical principles, relationship issues, and special interests. These classes are offered 3 times yearly: winter, spring and fall.

Join us with the entire family for a "home cooked" dinner, 5:15-6:15pm. The cost for dinner is $5 for adults; $3 for children ages 3-12; $13 for a family of 4 or more. The adult classes at 6:30-7:45pm vary. Children's programs offered simultaneously.

1. Class 201 - "Growing in Christ" - Rm. 708

Growing in Christ is a journey. Discover how to lay the foundation for your relationship with God through the tools He provides: prayer, Bible study, and the Church. Teachers: Women's Director Kim Breuninger, Pastors Dave Hicks & Jim Josselyn

2. "Wait. . .what??" A Peek Into the Junior High Mind - Rm. 706

Come and learn the 'why' behind your teen's behavior! What encouragement and guidance do we and our teens receive from God's word? Gain knowledge to help you betterunderstand your teens during this exciting and often tumultuous developmental phase. Teacher: Lynn Wesson

3. "The Story" by Randy Frazee - Women's Class - Rm. 703

"The Story" sweeps you into the unfolding progression of the Bible characters and events. Reading the Bible as you would a novel, "The Story" is filled with intrigue, drama, conflict, romance and redemption - and it is true! This semester will cover Judges - Esther. Book Fee: $20. Class discussion/video format. Facilitator: Women's Director Kim Breuninger

4. TLC School of Theology: Church Roots - Rm. 707

Understand the church and you'll understand history. Today, after 2,000 years, Christianity has grown from a small group of 120 believers to over one-third of the earth's population. Discover this amazing story. Journal fee: $10. Teacher: Mike Taylor

5. Walking the Bible: Israel Past and Present - Rm. 704

Ever had questions about some of the stories in the Bible? Do you wonder how God could have His people Israel whom He claims to LOVE go through so many horrible times? We will walk through the Bible with open eyes and hearts to see the salvation that God is ultimately accomplishing. Teacher: Pastor Dave Hicks

6. In Context - Rm. 701

"I know the plans I have for you", "If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it", "All things work together for good", "The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well", etc., are among our favorite Bible verses. But are we understanding them correctly? The goal of this class is to increase your understanding of the Bible by equipping you to interpret it "in context." Teacher: Pastor Paul Spurlock

7. Young Marrieds - Rm. 901

Join us as we "crack" the communication code between husbands and wives! This will be a small group study of the popular book "Love and Respect" by Dr. Emerson Eggerich. $13 class fee per couple. Facilitators: George & Susan Hurley
